My new food find is
Gail's. It's a cafe come bakery, with beautiful bread and sweet pastries, plus cakes and sandwiches. It's not cheap, but it is lovely and a nicer, calmer alternative than the bigger chain coffee shops.
For me, it has a bit of an American feel to it, and reminds me of Meryl Streep's cafe in It's Complicated, with homemade bread and muffins piled on top of each other.
So far, I can highly recommend the mozzarella and pesto sandwich on olive bread, and the latte was the best I've ever had.
