High Points:
- Having some banter with Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell on the red carpet for Conviction
- Watching Blue Valentine
- Talking to Betty Anne Waters about being the real life subject of Conviction
- Pronouncing Apichatpong Weerasethakul (so what if it took 15 takes)
- Chatting to the beautiful Michelle Williams whilst wishing I had her wardrobe
- Black Swan. Simply amazing.
- Mike Leigh
Low Points:
- The lack of Ryan Gosling at the Blue Valentine premiere
- Mike Leigh

Home: Part I
I can't wait to own a home, that I can decorate and fill with my things. For now though, I'll have to settle for collecting ideas for when that time comes...

Wish List
Sadly I don't have the budget, but I'd love to start collecting vintage film posters. Maybe one day.

Just because
I watched Blue Valentine today as part of the BFI's London Film Festival. It stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as a couple going through the ups and downs of their relationship. Review and premiere report to follow, but for now it gave me the excuse to do this...

Yellow Diamonds
Saw an ad for Tiffany & Co's yellow diamond collection. Would make a lovely engagement ring, a la Heidi Klum below...

"He was sitting at the end of the bed, and he had no clothes on whatsoever…He was all tan. Has all those tattoos – which I love.…And I thought, 'You done good, girl.' I sure wasn't thinking of his high-pitched voice."

An Unconventional Love
At last year's London Film Festival I watched Nowhere Boy, which premiered at the Closing Night Gala. That was when I first heard about Aaron Johnson and Sam Taylor-Wood's romance.
Johnson played the teenage John Lennon in Taylor-Wood's directorial debut, and off-screen they fell in love - despite a 23-year age gap. Now they're engaged, living in Primrose Hill and parents to three-month old Wylda Rae.
It's fair to say that their age difference and Johnson's rapid rise to fame have resulted in a lot of media interest in their relationship. I suppose they don't fall under the 'normal' couple bracket, but by the looks of it, things are working out just fine.
I love, love, LOVE this photoshoot they did for Vogue whilst Sam was pregnant. Plus, below are some shots from the set of Nowhere Boy.
P.S. The couple’s matching tattoos read, "In Spite Of All The Danger," a line from the Beatles song of the same name. Nice.
P.P.S. Nowhere Boy is ace. I highly recommend it.
